Perhaps this is perception and interpretation

In the visual arts, when we talk about the audiences, we would always discuss about the definition and interpretation. Audience is an important role in assessing the work of art. If they fail to understand the meaning of an artist trying to say, the failure of an artist is to convey meaning through a subjective to objective things. We have to understand the culture of people (audience) in order to spread the contents instead of the form. Statement that physical models are not only used to represent the appearance of designed objects but also to represent ideas. However, if physical models are used to represent ideas, what must they have in common with their objects in order to function? It is suggested that an ability to name the characteristics which link the object and model is unnecessary. Gombrich's criticism of the "innocent eye" is accepted. This study is developed to emphasise the social practice of the use of models, in preference to the traditional Illusionistic or Conventional analysis of their relationship to the objects they represent. However, Goodman's extreme Conventionalism is rejected on the basis of its inability to account for the first use by the creator or viewer- Biggs, M. (1997). A variety of theories, assumptions, guesses have been made but we are still talking about the question of audience reception of works of art. We likely will not be able to solve this problem, but what would the development of art itself can be improved with the idea of holding such discourse activities, workshops, art talks, and others. This is all we want to strengthen understanding the relationship between art and audience.
